I thought it might be lovely to have all my thoughts related to The Big Blog Exchange on one single page. I’ve dedicated pages to really important aspects of my journey and I am fast realising that The Big Blog Exchange contest is already a big part of this blog’s growth and my own personal journey.
It has reminded me of the importance of blogs as a powerful force for social change and as a meeting point for and of cultures, people, places, thoughts, topics and more.
This 8 day experience (for me due to my date of entry) has highlighted the importance of my work, hosting blogging workshops to under-resourced South Africans, regardless of age, race, sex, religion, access to resources and financial standing. (We host fundraising events which pay for the cost of the workshop for the interested participants including a lunch pack).
If I win this, it will be the most powerful and meaningful way to say “Blogging doesn’t just have to be for fun, it can be more, it has the power to open up doors, worlds and opportunities”. I have been blogging for over 6 years now and will never stop!
Here’s a little video related to the blogging workshops (when it was only a mere dream), video created as part of my work with 100in1day Cape Town, another project stitched to my heart (as you can read here).
